About The Position

The Bilingual Store Associate works in a Sherwin-Williams retail store and supports wholesale and retail customers by identifying their needs, answering questions about products, and recommending suitable solutions. The role is responsible for resolving customer concerns, maintaining knowledge of product features, keeping store products and displays up to quality and visual standards, and helping the store meet its sales goals. The associate also handles sales transactions, inventory and work order records, product tinting and mixing, stocking, equipment cleaning, and some delivery-related tasks. The position is part time, based at Store #1261 in Lexington, Kentucky, and requires English and Spanish communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Must be willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
• Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive, trusting relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries as needed.
• Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock and presentable condition.
• Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
