About The Position

PRACTICE is hiring bilingual Spanish/English tutors to provide in-person English Language Arts (ELA) support to students. Tutors work alongside classroom teachers to strengthen students’ reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension skills, support multilingual learners, and build students’ academic confidence. The role is suitable for college students, recent graduates, and others interested in gaining hands-on education experience; previous tutoring experience is not required.

The position pays $27–$30 per hour and follows a consistent part-time schedule of 12 hours per week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Tutors may be eligible to earn a completion bonus of up to 10% of total program earnings upon successful program completion, subject to eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to explain academic concepts in both languages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in working with students and supporting their academic development.
• Availability every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to the full program schedule.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.

Nice To Haves

• Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-development experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in English Language Arts.
• Help students strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce lessons and address students’ learning needs.
