About The Position

PRACTICE is hiring bilingual Spanish- and English-speaking tutors to provide in-person English Language Arts (ELA) support to students. Tutors work alongside classroom teachers to strengthen students’ reading, writing, and comprehension skills and build their academic confidence. The role offers hands-on education experience and is suitable for college students, recent graduates, and others interested in education. Previous tutoring experience is not required.

The schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, totaling 12 hours per week. Compensation is $27–$30 per hour. Eligible tutors may also earn a completion bonus of up to 10% of total program earnings upon successful program completion.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to explain academic concepts in both languages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in working with students and supporting their academic development.
• Availability every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to the full program schedule.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.

Nice To Haves

• Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-development experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in English Language Arts.
• Help students strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills.
