About The Position

Study Smart is hiring a part-time tutor to provide ELA support to third-grade students in Manhattan, New York. The tutor will work with small and large groups, use information about class assignments, and adapt to new materials and teaching strategies. The role includes communicating consistently with Study Smart staff and partnering with its Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies. The schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM EST. Applicants must hold a completed four-year degree and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting depending on location. Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.

The tutoring rate is $50 per hour. Onboarding, training, preparation, and support are paid at $22 per hour. The position also offers a 401(k), virtual counseling and therapy services at no cost, and eligibility for an employee referral program bonus.
