Beverage Server - Casino Service Bar
About The Position
The Beverage Server serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests throughout the property while ensuring a positive guest experience. The role involves taking orders, serving drinks, collecting payments, following cash-handling and beverage-control procedures, and maintaining clean and organized service areas. The server follows applicable liquor laws, TIPS guidelines, and company policies, and promotes responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly communicating concerns to management. The position requires frequent standing, walking, handling items, reaching, communicating, and tasting or smelling. It involves frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, crowded, and noisy, with possible exposure to secondhand smoke and the general public. Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Final candidates must obtain gaming licensure through a background check conducted by Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations before an offer is extended. Checks may include credit and criminal background checks and a drug screen. Seminole Gaming gives hiring preference to qualified members of the Seminole Tribe, followed by qualified members of other federally recognized Native American tribes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certificate in Mixology.
- At least two years of experience in high-volume bartending.
- Basic mathematical skills relevant to job responsibilities, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to provide service that creates a welcoming atmosphere and a positive, memorable guest experience.
- An excited, enthusiastic, outgoing personality and the ability to project a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- T.I.P.S. certification is preferred.
- Sanitation certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take guest orders, serve drinks, and collect payments courteously and efficiently while following cash-handling procedures.
- Ensure guest satisfaction in assigned areas and other areas as necessary.
- Follow state liquor laws and TIPS training guidelines.
- Keep the bar and service area clean, sanitary, and organized.
- Follow beverage-control procedures and regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Promote responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Promote positive guest and team-member relations.
