About The Position

Responsible for providing efficient and professional beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction. The server receives and serves guest beverage orders, follows bar department rules and regulations, maintains clean work stations and floor sections, checks identification for age and authenticity, and discontinues service as required by law. The role involves answering guest questions about the casino, staying informed about promotions, events, machine locations, table games, other guest services, and property-wide events, and attending or facilitating mandatory meetings and training. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, showing sensitivity to Native American culture, and operating in accordance with Leech Lake Gaming human resources and departmental policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other applicable regulations. The employee helps secure the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Good attendance and punctuality.
Excellent time management, organizational, public relations, and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time.
High school diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).
TIPS Training.
Strong computer skills.
Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and submit to drug testing.

Previous cash handling or wait staff experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain clean work stations and floor sections.
Check identification for age and authenticity.
Discontinue beverage service according to the law.
Stay informed about marketing promotions, events, machine locations, table games, and other guest services.
Answer guests’ questions and inquiries about the casino.
Maintain knowledge of all events across the property.
Attend and/or facilitate mandatory meetings and training.
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to Native American culture.
Follow Leech Lake Gaming human resources and departmental policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other applicable regulations.
Secure the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
Perform other duties as assigned.
