About The Position

The Cocktail Server provides exceptional beverage and food service to guests in a lounge, nightclub, or bar environment. The role includes taking and accurately entering guest orders, delivering beverages and food, making product recommendations, and supporting a positive guest experience. Additional duties include supporting special events, maintaining clean and properly stocked service stations, clearing used glassware, monitoring guest consumption, and promptly reporting visibly intoxicated guests to leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or nightclub environment; knowledge of beverages and mixology; and strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. The position requires standing for prolonged periods and, with reasonable accommodations, the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain HCA-identified responsible alcohol service certification.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including calculating discounts, interest, and commissions, and applying them to practical situations.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Physical mobility, with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or serve beverages following standard practices and recipes.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work and guest areas.
• Maintain par levels of operating supplies and equipment, replenishing as needed in accordance with procedures.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as needed according to established practices.
• Operate the POS system in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinate beverage service to maintain an efficient service flow.
• Take and accurately enter guest orders; deliver beverages and food and make product recommendations.
• Support special events, maintain clean and stocked service stations, and clear used glassware.
• Promptly report visibly intoxicated guests to leadership.
