About The Position
A Best Buddies Advisor is a school staff member who serves as the adult leader and school-based support for a Best Buddies chapter. The advisor helps student leaders run their chapter and ensures the program creates meaningful friendships and inclusion opportunities for students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The position is at Guilford High School and Guilford Transition Academy and is worked during the school year.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the adult leader and school-based support for a Best Buddies chapter.
- Help student leaders run their chapter.
- Ensure the program creates meaningful friendships and inclusion opportunities for students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
