About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. The role involves restoring jewelry, performing repairs, and potentially designing custom, one-of-a-kind pieces based on the jeweler’s current skillset. Team members provide a customer-first experience and work to exceed customers’ expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on current jeweler skillset and experience.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test assessing current jeweler skill level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Seasonal required overtime for full-time employees.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition and beauty.
• Perform jewelry repair work, which may include chain and clasp repair, re-tipping prongs, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring repair, and other jewelry repairs.
• Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Design and create custom jewelry pieces, including CAD/CAM design work where applicable.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
