About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team at the McGowin Park location in Mobile, Alabama. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom pieces according to their skillsets. The role provides opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan through jeweler training programs, continuous learning, and a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on current jeweler skills and experience. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime; hours vary and include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Varying hours, including some nights and weekends; seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent.
Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.

Responsibilities

Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
Design and create custom jewelry according to current skills.
Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
Perform applicable bench-jeweler work, which may include chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, and CAD/CAM design work.
