About The Position

The Bell-Valet welcomes guests at The Hotel Hershey, assists with luggage upon arrival and departure, provides valet parking and safe transportation, and escorts guests to their assigned rooms. The role also involves responding professionally to guest inquiries, delivering requested items to guest rooms, checking rooms for belongings left behind, and securing guests’ coats at coat check locations. Team members learn the hotel’s room types, floor plans, and amenities and attend meetings related to the position. This is a union position, and the work schedule is based on union seniority and operational needs.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and verified good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to operate a manual transmission.
• Working knowledge of safety and security procedures.
• Friendly, outgoing, customer-service-oriented personality.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Able to work varying shifts based on operational needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays; scheduled hours will most likely include evenings and weekends.
• Able to lift 35–50 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the majority of the shift.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to meet scheduled requirements; work schedule is based on union seniority.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with luggage upon arrival and departure.
• Provide guests with valet parking and safe transport.
• Receive the room key and passport from the front desk and escort guests to their assigned room.
• Learn room types, floor plans, and guest amenities.
• Respond to guest inquiries professionally and in a service-oriented manner, promoting hotel services and in-house facilities.
• Inspect rooms for items left behind.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms.
• Attend meetings relating to the position.
• Secure guest coats at coat check locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
