Bell Attendant - The Sanctuary
About The Position
The Bell Attendant plays an important role in guests’ evaluation of the hotel and its services and is expected to conduct themselves in a friendly yet professional manner. The position requires intimate knowledge of hotel operating policies and procedures so the attendant can provide guests with resort services and information. The listed pay rate is $8.65 plus tips. The role is onsite and includes transporting luggage, facilitating guest traffic, opening doors, and delivering time-sensitive items. Previous guest service experience in a luxury hotel or resort is appreciated but not essential.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Ability to remain calm in a stressful and/or hurried environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must pass a background check.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over medium to long distances.
- Must be physically able to transport luggage over an eight-hour shift and remain standing for most of the shift.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift while reaching, bending, and stooping as needed.
- Must work onsite due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities
- Transport luggage to and from guest rooms.
- Facilitate guest traffic in the lobby and open doors.
- Deliver time-sensitive materials, including overnight packages, guestroom amenities, and shoe shines.
- Provide guests with resort services and information using extensive knowledge of hotel operating policies and procedures.
- Uphold the resort’s core values, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
