Landscaping Supervisor - The Sanctuary
About The Position
The Landscaping Supervisor works, leads, and supervises employees in day-to-day landscape maintenance at The Sanctuary, an upscale resort environment. The role calls for a highly motivated person with a strong work ethic, confidence, good decision-making skills, and a strong eye for detail. The supervisor must follow directions clearly and communicate with employees and the management team to help ensure maintenance responsibilities, standards, and goals are met. The work includes maintaining resort grounds and landscape features, and requires outdoor work year-round in all weather conditions. Candidates must be able to remain standing for the full shift and lift, bend, stoop, and reach. The position requires a valid driver's license and personal transportation to and from the resort. Employment offers are contingent on a thorough background check.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance and/or turf grass management.
- Valid driver's license.
- Own transportation to and from the resort.
- Able to stand throughout the shift and work consecutive hours without sitting.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to lift, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Horticulture, Turf Grass Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Resort landscape maintenance and/or golf course experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work, lead, and supervise employees in landscape maintenance.
- Police grounds for trash, litter, and debris.
- Maintain planting beds.
- Maintain and install enhancement beds.
- Prune landscape plants.
- Mow.
- Apply chemicals.
- Maintain irrigation systems.

- Communicate with employees and the management team to help ensure maintenance responsibilities, standards, and goals are met.
