About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its residential facility in Covington, Louisiana. The facility provides drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services. Technicians support medical and clinical teams, engage with clients, help maintain a safe recovery environment, and complete administrative and shift duties. The facility has a round-the-clock care team and offers individualized treatment in a spacious, wheelchair-accessible setting.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
