About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Avenues is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers offering detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The role supports day-to-day residential operations and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.

Available shifts are first shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; second shift, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; and third shift, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Avenues describes its workplace culture as supportive and employee-valuing, with resources to help employees excel.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• For candidates in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
