About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Detox and Residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Shifts are first (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), second (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), and third (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.). The role supports the facility’s daily residential operations and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers offering detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
