About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians for its facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams and helps create a warm, accepting recovery environment for clients. Technicians monitor clients, support facility operations, document and escalate incidents, and complete administrative duties.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phone coverage.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties such as shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
