About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Prince Frederick location. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams and helps create a safe, warm, and accepting recovery environment for clients. The Prince Frederick site is a 93-bed residential facility offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Its medical and clinical team is available 24/7, and the facility emphasizes dignified, compassionate care.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to medical and clinical teams, including support with admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to foster a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to support the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
