Behavioral Health Nurse IDD Part Time
About The Position
ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people who have experienced extreme trauma. Its multidisciplinary teams include mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. The Behavioral Health Nurse addresses clients’ behavioral and physical health needs while they receive treatment for psychiatric symptoms. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for 24 hours per week, with no weekends. The posting lists pay of $23–$25 per hour for an LPN and $30.77–$34.13 per hour for an RN.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license.
- Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities
- Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
- Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
- Administer injections and other medications as needed.
- Monitor and administer medication.
- Educate clients about pharmaceuticals.
- Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
- Perform case management duties, including coordinating community services.
- Assist clients in building skills in emotion, stress, and anger management, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
