Behavioral Health Nurse IDD Part Time
About The Position
ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people who have experienced extreme trauma. The Behavioral Health Nurse supports clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms by addressing their behavioral and physical health needs as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. This part-time position is 24 hours per week over three days, with a Monday–Friday schedule between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. There are no weekend shifts. The coverage area includes Steubenville, St. Clairsville, and Barnesville. The posting lists hourly pay of $23–$25 for an LPN and $30.77–$34.13 for an RN.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license.
- Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities
- Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
- Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
- Administer injections and other medications as needed.
- Monitor and administer medication.
- Educate clients about pharmaceuticals.
- Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
- Perform case management duties, including coordination of community services.
- Help clients build skills in emotion, stress, and anger management, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
