Behavioral Health Nurse IDD
About The Position
ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Nurse to serve clients with developmental disabilities in the Brooklyn Heights and Cleveland service area. The role addresses clients’ behavioral and physical health needs while they receive treatment for psychiatric symptoms. The nurse works with a multidisciplinary team to support client outcomes and may also provide case management and help clients build life skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends. Compensation is listed as $23–$25 per hour for an LPN or $64,000–$71,000 per year for an RN. The position requires travel throughout the assigned service area.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license.
- Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities
- Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
- Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
- Administer injections and other medications as needed.
- Monitor and administer medication.
- Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
- Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
- Perform case management duties, including coordinating community services.
- Assist clients in building skills in emotion, stress, and anger management, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
