About The Position

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people who have experienced extreme trauma. Behavioral Health Nurses address clients’ behavioral and physical health needs while they receive treatment for psychiatric symptoms. The role includes health screenings, medication administration and monitoring, client education, gathering health information, and case management. The posting describes a Monday–Friday schedule of 9 a.m.–5 p.m. with no weekends, and lists LPN pay of $23–$25 per hour and RN pay of $64,000–$71,000 per year.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Coordinate community services as part of case management duties.
• Assist clients in building skills in emotion, stress, and anger management, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
