About The Position
Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Behavior Technician to work directly with adults with brain injuries in a home-like neurorehabilitation environment. The role supports clients’ daily living, social, recreational, and vocational goals by implementing rehabilitation strategies and behavioral management plans and encouraging independence. This is a full-time overnight position in Lakewood, Colorado, scheduled from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The Behavior Technician also helps maintain a safe and welcoming facility, supports clients’ nutrition and transportation needs, and completes required documentation while communicating professionally with clients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a record of responsible driving behavior.
- Ability to travel and/or operate a vehicle for up to 20% of working time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Guide, assist, and encourage clients with daily living tasks, personal care, community integration, cognitive activities, and vocational skills.
- Implement behavioral protocols and group therapies, address behaviors proactively and respectfully, and model pro-social behavior using positive reinforcement.
- Observe clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions and promptly communicate changes to the treatment team.
- Assist with medication administration according to prescribed regimens and facility standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment in compliance with licensing, CARF, and organizational standards.
- Help plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals according to residents’ nutritional plans.
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and recreational outings.
- Complete daily data sheets, shift summaries, goal and flow sheets, supervision checklists, and incident reports in compliance with applicable standards.
- Build respectful, professional relationships with clients, families, visitors, and colleagues while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Adapt to changing operational or client needs and maintain reliable attendance and work habits.
