About The Position

As Beauty Lead Advisor, you will drive sales through an authentic passion for beauty and engage clients by identifying their needs with a consultative approach. You will maintain expert knowledge of top beauty brands, execute merchandise sets, replenishment and visual standards according to Sephora at Kohl’s standards, and ensure an excellent overall client experience.

The role includes building client loyalty, recommending and demonstrating products, supporting sales plans, maintaining merchandising and operational standards, completing training, supporting omni-processing, and assisting with inventory management. Associates are also expected to act with integrity, support teamwork and safety programs, follow company policies and direction, and complete other assigned responsibilities.

The position requires the ability to complete company training, follow dress code and safety requirements, perform basic math and reading tasks, operate basic computers and handheld or other communication devices, and maintain prompt, regular attendance. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds frequently (and occasionally more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift), frequent movement such as climbing, bending and reaching, and standing or walking for at least eight hours per scheduled shift. Pay range: $18.25–$25.55. Benefits vary based on full-time or part-time status and work hours.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence clearly and concisely.

• Ability to perform the role’s accountabilities and satisfactorily complete company training programs.
• Ability to comply with dress code and health and safety requirements.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
• Ability to operate and communicate using multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet company scheduling requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
• Ability to frequently climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift, at least eight hours.
• Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Build strong client loyalty by identifying client needs and suggesting products, including opportunities to upsell.
• Develop and expand knowledge of the beauty industry, products, and beauty trends.
• Demonstrate products and product application to inspire clients and provide product credibility.
• Understand and execute sales plans to support and meet goals.
• Execute and maintain Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards, including merchandise sets, tester maintenance, department cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
• Replenish the sales floor consistently and in a timely manner.
• Engage in and complete required training to expand knowledge.
• Support omni-processing within the department.
• Support inventory management from receipt to sale, including freight processing, back stocking, inventory counts, and price changes.
• Act with integrity and honesty and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
• Use good judgment and discernment, involving appropriate partners as needed.
• Support and execute safety and shortage-reduction programs according to company guidelines.
• Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and follow company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Maintain adherence to safety policies and respond proactively to direction from leaders and other company personnel.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
