About The Position

The Beach Club Houseperson maintains guest hallways, rooms, service landings, and storage areas by keeping them supplied with linen and other materials. The role supports room attendants, prepares rooms for VIP arrivals, assists guests and members, and helps maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment. The position has regular contact with guests and other Housekeeping Associates and reports to the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager, and Housekeeping Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests and other associates as necessary to work effectively within the department.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach continuously for up to an 8-hour shift.
• Physical ability to walk or stand to a significant degree and to reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to one year of cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service closets and room attendants’ carts with linen and supplies.
• Remove soiled items from vacant dirty rooms and room attendant carts.
• Replace hangers and robes in guest rooms.
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Clean, vacuum, and dust guest hallways.
• Deep clean rooms.
• Prepare VIP arrivals.
• Turn in lost and found items.
• Assist guests and members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain equipment and report problems or service needs to supervisors.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or managers.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Assist in other areas as assigned by the manager.
• Move furniture when requested by the manager.
• Report safety concerns to the manager.
