About The Position

The Bartender at The Merchant Room provides exceptional-quality service by meeting guests’ needs and sharing expert knowledge of wine, spirits, mixed drinks, and their preparation. The role also supports bar operations, including product inventory, supplies, and objectives set by managers. The position is suited to someone passionate about craft cocktails, guest connection, and delivering an elevated bar experience in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.

The Merchant Room is located at Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, and is led by Chef Gavin Kaysen, founder of Soigné Hospitality Group. The restaurant offers a refined Old Florida-inspired setting, an alfresco terrace with Gulf views, dry-aged steaks, house-made pasta, and Gulf Coast ingredients.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of bartending experience.
• Strong interpersonal and personal presentation skills.
• Guest-focused mentality and understanding of the importance of guest preferences.
• Confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to requests.
• Ability to stand continuously for 8 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English.
• Current work authorization in the United States.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bartending experience in a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Micros POS system is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks, including their origins, tastes, and preparation methods; maintain working knowledge of the wine list, classic cocktail recipes, and specialty drinks.
• Provide quick and efficient beverage service, pouring and mixing according to established recipes and following alcohol laws and Four Seasons service standards.
• Confirm guest orders and special requests from Servers using the resort’s point-of-sale system; check completed orders against the original order, anticipate needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to requests and address guest concerns urgently and appropriately.
• Assist with drink development, promotions and special events, product inventory, and logging voids and spillage.
• Cut and prepare fruit and other beverage garnishes and perform related tasks.
• Follow bar policies and procedures and daily checklists.
• Provide professional, courteous, and efficient guest service, greeting each guest promptly and courteously with eye contact and a smile.
