About The Position

The Hills and Dune Deck Beach Club are seeking seasonal Bartenders for their Food & Beverage - Service Department at locations in East Quogue and Westhampton Beach, New York. The position is available April 1, 2027 through October 31, 2027, and H-2B visa sponsorship is available. Bartenders help create the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees by preparing and serving drinks, providing attentive guest service, and maintaining the bar. The role requires work indoors and outdoors and a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts longer than eight hours.

Requirements

• Twelve months of front-of-house experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for more than four hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull; may need to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute craft cocktails and develop and present new ideas to management.
• Mix and serve drinks to patrons directly or through waitstaff.
• Greet guests and members promptly and politely, using their names whenever possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and bar storage areas.
• Follow cocktail recipes and recipes for syrups and other house-made ingredients.
• Enter transactions into the point-of-sale system and issue accurate checks to members and guests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of beverages and ingredients and recommend food pairings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of wine and make recommendations from the club wine list.
• Respond to guest needs with a sense of urgency.
