About The Position

The Bartender provides friendly, excellent service to every customer who approaches the bar and prepares and pours drinks. The role serves guests at assigned stations, maintains knowledge of food and drinks, and is responsible for guest satisfaction. Bartenders maintain respectful control of guests, anticipate needs, manage the pace and tone of their station, and present a positive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude. They keep stations stocked, account for cash and receipts, work to maintain low beverage costs, and comply with attendance, regulatory, departmental, and company policies. The position is based in the casino bar area and requires working at a fast pace, including in stressful situations and areas containing secondary smoke.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous bartending experience.
• Knowledge of operating a cash register and bar equipment.
• At least 21 years of age and certified as a bartender.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work well with coworkers as part of a team.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to add and subtract.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and respond to visual and aural cues.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Flexibility and dexterity in fingers and hands to operate registers and beverage guns, handle glasses and tools, and measure liquor according to procedure.
• Ability to work with hands in ice for up to four hours and stand and walk for up to four hours.
• Ability to maneuver continuously and quickly around assigned casino bar areas for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; bend, pull, and carry bar stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets.
• Ability to prepare and pour drinks, clean and wipe bar areas, complete paperwork and cash transactions, and grip items such as glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, and money.
• Ability to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ordered drinks using proper portions and ingredients, including wine and liquor, and provide related bar service to guests at assigned stations.
• Operate the cash register, enter the correct amounts, and provide correct change to guests or servers.
• Provide courteous interactions and a positive experience for every guest.
• Maintain complete knowledge of food and drinks and take responsibility for guest satisfaction.
• Maintain respectful control over guests and anticipate needs and situations before they occur.
• Manage the timing and pace of the station discreetly, set the tone and style of the station, and act enthusiastically.
• Keep the station stocked with liquor, glasses, and accessories; mix drinks according to prescribed recipes.
• Account for beginning cash register bank, cash, complimentary drinks, and charge receipts.
• Use beverages, fruit, and supplies resourcefully to help maintain low beverage costs.
• Act as a role model to other employees and encourage conduct that reflects positively on Caesars.
• Meet attendance guidelines and follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
