About The Position

Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is hiring a Bartender to provide an exceptional guest experience through attentive service, beverage knowledge, and efficient bar operations. The role involves working with energetic colleagues and may be assigned to one of several resort restaurants and bars. The posting describes the position as seasonal, although its heading also says full-time. Work environments vary by venue: Lah De Dah is an open-air, fast-paced beachfront sports bar; License to Chill is an open-air sunset-terrace restaurant operating from breakfast through late night; 5 O'clock Somewhere is a poolside bar inside the Fins Up! Beach Club; and JWB Grill is a polished yet relaxed restaurant on the second floor with Gulf views. Some assignments involve using stairs to reach a kitchen located on another floor; the kitchen near 5 O'clock Somewhere can also be reached by elevator.

Requirements

One year of previous bartending experience.
Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
Understanding of how to use a POS system.
Understanding of alcohol laws and guidelines.
Strong organizational skills.
Punctuality and the ability to maintain regular, consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the Toast POS system.

Responsibilities

Greet patrons warmly, respond promptly to their needs, and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor.
Stay current on beverage industry trends and offer informed recommendations and a diverse drink selection.
Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked with supplies, ingredients, and equipment.
Manage multiple drink orders while monitoring bar flow to provide timely service.
Use the Point of Sale (POS) system to open and close tabs, process payments, and keep transaction records organized.
Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, enforce age restrictions, and monitor patrons' alcohol consumption.
Coordinate with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to support smooth operations and a strong dining experience.
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and proactively, seeking satisfactory resolutions.
Perform other related duties assigned by management to support resort operations and guest satisfaction.
Use stairs as part of daily tasks when assigned to Lah De Dah; access to the kitchen near 5 O'clock Somewhere includes stairs or elevator.
