About The Position

Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the resort’s appearance in keeping with its theme and local vegetation. The position helps ensure the resort grounds remain in pristine condition for guests. The role includes routine landscaping, operation and care of landscaping equipment, maintenance of outdoor areas, and reporting damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs. The Groundskeeper may also assist with other landscaping or maintenance-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum 1 to 2 years of groundskeeping or landscape experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to meet physical requirements that include prolonged walking and standing, bending, and stooping.
Effective communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weeding.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor common areas.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance on groundskeeping equipment to support its functionality and longevity.
Water plants and grass as needed, adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, and apply fertilizer as required.
Report damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
Assist with other landscaping or maintenance-related duties as assigned by management to support resort operations and guest satisfaction.
