About The Position

HMSHost is hiring Baristas at Tampa Airport to provide world-class service to guests. The Barista creates a positive customer experience by serving quality beverages and products quickly and providing guests with a fun and memorable visit. The role involves preparing food and beverages to recipe and presentation standards, handling guest orders and payments, and keeping the store clean, stocked, and organized. The position requires working effectively during busy periods and following brand and company policies, including safety and security procedures.

Requirements

Strong social skills and an enjoyment of meeting new people.
Ability to stay calm and work in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Willingness to learn and ability to pick up new skills quickly.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and rules, and to request assistance when needed.
Basic math skills to count money accurately and make change.
Ability to work well with others and contribute to a cooperative team.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, take food and drink orders, answer questions, call guests by name, and thank them for their orders.
Prepare and serve quality beverages and food consistently according to recipe and presentation standards while providing excellent service.
Stay calm during high-volume periods, help keep the store operating properly, and set a positive example for the team.
Operate a cash register and accept guest payments in accordance with customer service and cash-handling policies and procedures.
Keep the store clean, stocked, and organized, and decorate customer display areas.
Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge while supporting the brand and company culture, values, and mission.
Follow operational policies and procedures, including safety and security requirements.
