About The Position

Seasonal Barista position at Arapahoe Basin, a ski area located 60 miles west of Denver. Food and Beverage employees work to provide guests with legendary service and food quality. As the face of the Coffee Corner, the Barista helps create a welcoming, clean, and friendly environment by assisting guests with purchases, preparing specialty coffee drinks and light food options, and using a POS system with a helpful and positive attitude. The role calls for thoughtful, creative, and energetic service.

Requirements

• Ability to be self-motivated and demonstrate great attention to detail.
• Basic retail computer skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be available on weekends and holidays.
• Must provide own non-slip shoes.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8+ hour shift and navigate stairs.
• Ability to use a full range of body motion, including bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous barista experience.
• TIPS certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare beverages, and process POS transactions while ensuring consistency and quality with customer orders.
• Merchandise products around the POS area.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures and sign consent for over or short monies.
• Follow food and beverage handling and sanitation procedures, and rotate products and inventory according to established guidelines.
• Prepare and stock goods according to inventory responsibilities and maintain stock at or above par levels.
• Follow departmental sustainability guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
