About The Position

Seasonal Barista position at the Capital One Cafe in San Antonio, Texas. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, handles food according to HACCP guidelines and quality standards, and interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly, courteous manner. The schedule is Monday through Friday on closing shifts; further details are provided during the interview. Barista experience is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
• Maintain food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures in accordance with HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
• Greet customers courteously and interact with them to support customer satisfaction.
• Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
• Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
• Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with purchasing decisions.
• Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
