About The Position

Eurest is hiring seasonal Baristas at Capital One Cafe in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items while following HACCP guidelines and food-service quality standards. The role includes taking and entering customer orders, processing payments, maintaining service areas and equipment, merchandising and serving food attractively, and providing courteous, efficient customer service. Seasonal scheduling requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. The position pays $16.00 per hour, plus tips. Training is available.

Responsibilities

Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
Enter orders accurately into a POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area clean.
Maintain proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures while following HACCP standards.
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction.
Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying decisions.
Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
