About The Position

The Barista prepares and serves drinks and food items in a warm, inviting manner while interacting with hotel guests and other patrons. The role focuses on creating positive customer experiences by building rapport, learning customers’ names and preferences, and sharing knowledge of coffee and tea regions, flavors, and blends. Restaurant experience is preferred, but training is available for candidates who are eager to learn and positively impact guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler’s Permit.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to interact with hotel guests and other patrons.
• Ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform walking, bending, twisting, and stair climbing.
• Ability to carry or lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks and food items in a warm and inviting manner.
• Share knowledge of coffee and tea regions, flavors, and blends with customers.
• Take customer orders and communicate them to team members for preparation.
• Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans and food supplies and stocking brewing equipment.
• Build rapport with customers by learning their names and favorite drinks and foods.
