About The Position

The Barista prepares and serves drinks and food items in a warm, inviting manner while interacting with hotel guests and other patrons. The role involves building rapport with customers by learning their names and preferences, and sharing knowledge of coffee and tea regions, flavors, and blends. Restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training is available for candidates who are eager to learn and positively impact guests. The position requires a friendly, outgoing personality, the ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure, and the ability to multitask. The employee will spend much of the shift on their feet and may carry or lift up to 25 pounds, walk, bend or twist, and climb stairs. Flexible scheduling, including weekends, is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Food Handler’s Permit.
Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to interact with guests and other patrons throughout the day.
Ability to think on your feet, work calmly under pressure, and multitask.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
Ability to spend extended periods on your feet and to carry or lift up to 25 pounds, walk, bend or twist, and climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a restaurant.
Desire to learn and positively impact guests.
