Barista (Full Time)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Barista at Bon Secours St Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, following standard recipes, portioning, quality, sanitation, and HACCP requirements. The role includes taking and processing customer orders, handling payments, maintaining service areas and equipment, merchandising and serving food attractively, and providing courteous, efficient customer service. The schedule is Sunday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with rotating weekends; specific schedule details are provided upon interview. Previous barista experience is preferred. The pay range is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
- Enter orders accurately into a POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
- Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
- Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
- Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction.
- Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
- Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
- Use sales techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying decisions.
- Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
