BARISTA (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, including catering orders. The role handles food in accordance with HACCP guidelines and quality food-service standards, and interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly, courteous manner. The position is based at the Federal Reserve Bank, 1455 East 6th Street, Cleveland, Ohio. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The pay range is $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. Previous barista experience is preferred. Free meals, uniforms, and laundering service are available at select locations.

Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
- Enter orders accurately into a POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area clean.
- Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
- Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
- Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction; relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
- Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
- Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with their buying decisions.
- Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
