About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Baristas to join its team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Barista delivers excellent guest service by applying Starbucks coffee knowledge and recipes, educating guests about drink options, and preparing beverages to brand specifications. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tipped earnings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to follow product preparation and serving protocols consistently to meet company standards.
• Ability to operate a POS system to record orders, process payments, and accurately accept and account for cash transactions.
• Commitment to providing professional, friendly guest service to guests, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Barista experience.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and suggest items using suggestive selling techniques.
• Serve food and Starbucks beverages in correct proportions while following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with opening or closing the location, including cleanup duties.
• Record transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Collect payment for food and beverages, process credit cards, and provide correct change.
• Account for transactions, maintain an accurate cash count, and balance banks at the end of the shift.
• Restock, replenish, and clean the lounge at the end of each shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
