About The Position

The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, including catering orders. The role handles food in accordance with HACCP guidelines and food-service quality standards, interacts courteously with customers and coworkers, and supports an efficient, clean, and orderly service area. The position is full-time at TRP HQ in Baltimore, Maryland, with a Monday–Friday schedule; hours may vary. More schedule details are provided during the interview.

Requirements

Barista experience required.
Food service experience required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
Enter orders accurately into a POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, serving temperatures, and compliance with HACCP standards.
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
Greet customers courteously and interact with them to support customer satisfaction.
Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying decisions.
Merchandise display foods attractively according to standards and serve food neatly and attractively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
