About The Position

The Ark Encounter Barista Training Specialist contributes to a positive, welcoming environment for guests by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality beverages. The role focuses on preparing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, training new baristas, and supporting smooth coffee shop operations. Requirements

Must agree with and be able to sign the Answers in Genesis Statement of Faith.
Must maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Must regularly attend a local Bible-believing church.
Must be flexible to work opening and closing shifts on any day of the week, including holidays.
Customer service skills and a friendly, courteous approach with guests.
Strong oral communication skills and comfort giving directions to guests.
Basic math skills and accuracy with cash and financial transactions.
Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and move throughout the attraction for the entire length of a shift.
Ability to bend and lift between 25 and 75 pounds.
Completion of an online application, salary requirements, salvation testimony, creation belief statement, and confirmation of agreement with the Answers in Genesis Statement of Faith.
Completion of a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis and create a SERVE-culture environment.
Approach tasks with a second-mile mindset and prioritize personal integrity in interactions and assignments.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and seasonal drinks, according to recipes and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and sanitary espresso bar, counters, seating areas, utensils, and equipment according to health guidelines.
Track inventory and restock cups, lids, syrups, coffee beans, and other supplies.
Train new baristas according to established policies and procedures.
Greet and assist guests with menu questions, ingredient inquiries, and attraction information.
Operate the cash register and handle guest payments accurately and efficiently.
Carry out management’s operational directives in a supportive and professional manner, adapting to changing needs and supporting team unity.
Maintain a safe environment by keeping walkways clear of products, boxes, and spills.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
