About The Position

Join the staff at the Belted Goat, a casual eatery and coffee shop in Fearrington Village. The Barista/Retail Sales employee provides excellent customer care while consistently preparing coffee and tea beverages to a high standard in a high-volume setting. The role also supports daily operations through cleaning, stocking, and organizing; operates the register and takes orders; continually develops job skills and knowledge; and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.

The listed shifts are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hourly compensation depends on experience. After a 90-day probation period, benefits are available as described in the posting.

Requirements

• Food and beverage experience; barista experience is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, vibrant attitude and a smile.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, while also being team-oriented.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Punctuality.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as a department manual.
• Ability to prioritize work tasks, multitask, and maintain focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, and scoop.
• Occasionally kneel, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds; the posting also states the role can require lifting up to 50 pounds.
