About The Position

As an on-call Barista/Fountain Worker at The Cosmopolitan, you will create exceptional guest experiences through friendly, personalized service. You will primarily work at Starbucks, but may also be scheduled to support other Quick Service outlets based on business needs. You will learn guests’ needs and prepare quality beverages and food items to create memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work varied, on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take and place orders, serve food and drinks, and garnish items efficiently and accurately as applicable.
• Collect money while following cash-handling and comp procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance in front- and back-of-house areas; clear tables and counters and clean the dining area without interfering with guest comfort.
• Pack orders according to guests’ preferences and include necessary condiments.
• Label and date products according to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock items in designated storage areas; keep workstations, counters, and tables organized and replenish products as needed.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; refer other matters to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security about unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
