About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Bariatric Surgeon in Richmond, Virginia, for a mobile, bedside wound-care practice serving skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules. Full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week, Monday through Friday; part-time physicians work a minimum of 3 days per week. The posted full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no night, on-call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The position is W-2 employment, and work visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
