Bariatric Surgeon - Richmond, VA
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Bariatric Surgeon to provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time during rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The practice offers full-time work, typically 4–5 weekdays per week, or part-time work of at least 3 weekdays per week. The stated full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The position is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where practicing.
- Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
