General Surgeon - Richmond, VA
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a General Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time or part-time scheduling. Full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week, generally Monday through Friday, with a stated schedule of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part-time physicians work at least 3 days per week. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. Employment is W-2; work visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
- Commit to a minimum of 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
- MD or DO.
