About The Position

The Barback provides support to the Beverage Server and Bartender teams by keeping bars stocked with supplies, including beer, wine, spirits, glassware, and paper products. The role follows departmental procedures to help the teams provide excellent guest service. The Barback interacts with guests, supports bar operations, follows applicable liquor laws, and maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Promote superior guest service.
• Maintain a positive organizational culture in keeping with the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
• Interact with guests to help ensure a positive experience.
• Stock service wells and bars with supplies according to departmental procedures.
• Replenish and refill garnish trays and ice bins as needed.
• Restock, collect, wash, and return glassware to appropriate destinations.
• Apply knowledge of state liquor laws, including identification procedures, monitoring intoxication, intervention strategies, refusing service, and shutoff procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
