About The Position

The Bartender provides world-class guest service in the restaurant by taking drink orders, serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and accepting payment for purchases. The role supports a positive organizational culture in accordance with the Spirit of Tâlícn principles and ilani Core Values, and maintains sanitation, safety, and confidentiality standards. Bartenders set up and break down their assigned bar and follow department policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED), or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours.
Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
Willingness to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Responsibilities

Promote superior guest service.
Maintain and perpetuate a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
Interact with guests to ensure they have a positive experience.
Prepare drink orders according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Use the point-of-sale terminal and complete other cashiering functions.
Apply knowledge of state liquor laws, including identification procedures, monitoring intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service, and shutoff procedures.
Set up and break down the assigned bar according to department policies and procedures.
Handle all payment methods.
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the assigned work area.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
