About The Position

The Bartender provides world-class guest service in the Rock & Brews restaurant by taking drink orders, serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and handling payments. The role includes preparing drinks according to restaurant recipes and standards, using point-of-sale systems, and maintaining a clean, safe, and properly set up bar. Bartenders are expected to interact positively with guests, follow state liquor laws and company procedures, and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED, a recognized equivalent of a high school diploma (RED), or a foreign high school diploma (FHD).
Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours.
Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
Willingness to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Promote superior guest service.

Interact with guests to ensure they have a positive experience.
Prepare drink orders according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Use the point-of-sale terminal and complete cashiering functions.
Apply knowledge of state liquor laws, including identification procedures, monitoring intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service, and shutoff procedures.
Set up and break down the assigned bar according to department policies and procedures.
Handle all payment methods.
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the assigned work area.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
