About The Position

The Barback supports beverage operations at Newcastle Casino by assisting the Bartender and ensuring inventory, beverage quality, and cleanliness meet standards for guest satisfaction. The role includes stocking and preparing beverages, maintaining supplies and equipment, and keeping the bar clean and sanitary. The position is part-time and may require working nights, weekends, and holidays. The work involves standing and walking throughout the shift, physical tasks such as reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies weighing up to 75 pounds, moderate to high noise levels, and cigarette smoke exposure. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming license.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Liquor License (ABLE).
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of guest service principles and processes.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Mature judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to understand and follow orders.
• Ability to understand written information.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and perform reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to demonstrate essential hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Stock, clean, and prepare beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
• Maintain adequate supplies of bar items and replenish them as needed.
• Wash glasses and serving equipment promptly.
• Stock refrigerating units and replace beer kegs.
• Replenish ice at the bar.
• Clean and polish the bar, counters, shelves, and equipment.
• Prepare food items for drink preparation.
• Manage trash pickup and disposal.
• Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
• Review procedures to improve service and safety.
